Bracklinn Falls is a very popular beauty spot situated in a picturesque gorge located above the Scottish town of Callander. The falls are part of the Keltie water where the river crosses the highland boundary fault.

During the few days I spent in Callander the weather was awful. With rain forecast every day! Sometimes accompanied by thunder and lightning. It was very difficult for me to plan the best time to visit. On my final morning there was a break in the Scottish weather and I decided to bite the bullet and head over to the falls. I made it to the river just as the rain began to fall. I must admit the falls were running full and are extremely impressive after all the heavy rainfall. The sound of fast flowing water cascading down the various levels is something I will not forget in a hurry.

I encountered a few minutes of beautiful soft light before the light drizzle turned to heavy rain and I made my way back to the camper.
